VIK is still on the regular server waiting for our next event. Over the last week, we have done many things to prepare. We needed to recruit, adjust ranks, choose the next event, and farm.
After the last event, VIK lost a lot of members and friends moving to other alliances either for a season break or to find a new home. To replace these lost members and power, VIK started heavily recruiting. We have adjusted our ranks to fill in the lost members based on event activity. We hope that the reduction in power will provide a better matchmaking for the next event.
Leadership has chosen to go back to the Mutated Jungle event as our next adventure. We feel that this event is appealing because of its different mechanics and more chances for S5 season ants. We hope that our experience from last event will help to make planning this event easier.
We will enter the matchmaking period in 3 more days. While waiting, we will continue to recruit and farm for much needed resources and healing speedups. I have already reset and prepared the VIK discord to accommodate our upcoming allies. We will also be choosing our next alliance theme.

This has been another uneventful week on the regular server. VIK is preparing for the next event and everyone is getting excited to try our luck at Mutated Jungle Beta again. We are anxiously waiting to know our allies and enemies.
In 3 days time we will finally know our allies and opponents for the next event. We are hoping for cooperative and friendly allies like last our event. The VIK discord is already prepared to accommodate them.
After members leaving and kicking our inactives, VIK is going to the next event with 63 members. We hope that this will help with our matchmaking, given our reduced member count and power. We are unsure about how our current activity will fare in the season.
Deciding our starting zones will be the first order or business. VIK currently doesn’t have a preference in starting zone; however, we are used to the northern zone from our previous event. We are hoping for a protection time of 8 to 16UTC, as most of our events have been in the past. This is the most inactive time for our alliance, and we are hoping to have a similar active time as our coming allies.
With the remaining time on the server, we will continue preparing by farming resources and speedups. This event seems to be very resource heavy and we want to be as prepared as possible before hitting the season server. VIK is also finalizing our leadership team and ranks before entering the season zone. We have not done an alliance theme as we have done in the past. We will be ready when the time comes.

This week the matchmaking period is coming to an end and we will be entering the season zone at reset. VIK finally knows our allies and enemies for the event. Our allies are WaR (server 490) and BRZ (server 520). Our enemies for the event are PNX (server 46), REI (server 478), and BAR (server 501).
The first order of business was getting all the allies into the VIK discord for season discussion and planning. I already had channels and roles to accommodate our allies. After a brief discussion, my camp decided to select WaR as the R6 for the event. Although this doesn’t matter much with us being able to pass the R6 around as needed.
My camp has decided to block the 8 to 16UTC timeframe. This seems to be the common least active time between the alliances. We will see what the enemy camp has decided at reset today. We have also chosen to seperate our starting zones on the map to maximize our options later.
At reset today, we will be entering the new season. Everyone is excited to try our luck at the new event again. We have spent the last few weeks on the server preparing with resources and speedups. We know that this event is resource heavy from our last experience.
VIK has adjusted ranks and filled a few of the open leadership positions. We will be working closely with our allies throughout the event to put ourselves in the best position to win. With our newly decreased power and activity, we still don’t know our current capabilities when it comes to wars. We are ready to find out!

VIK has now entered the season zone. All the allies hit the ground running, rushing to take the wonders and buildings in our home zones. We worked to secure as many buffs as possible using as little towers are possible.
While continuing to build in our home zones, we also took split the open zone while our towers costed less in the open areas of the map. We made use of the 2k towers to secure the wonder and take all the buildings in that zone. VIK took the wonder while our allies secured buildings for free teleportation. We want to maximize teleportation between the alliances for maximum protection of the zone from the enemies.
After securing the northeastern zone, we began to focus on building in the south zone. WaR took the wonder in this zone to secure teleportation. All three alliances began building to take buffs while pushing towards the kojacs that will open in 3 days. We want to have all 3 alliances at both kojacs before they open to make sure we can secure both when the wars begin.
Over the coming days, we will be preparing for the first battles of the event. By maximizing our teleportation in our zone, we hope to be able to break through into the enemy zone when the time comes. While we are waiting for the kojacs to open, we will continue to secure more buffs for the wars ahead.

This week our event had the Kojac competition. All the alliances built to all the kojacs to prepare for the battles. The first day of battle was a long process. All three allies were in constant war trying to gain control over all three kojacs. Unfortunately, the enemy camp was a little more active and stronger. The enemy camp took the first day. BRZ was at the top, VIK in the middle, and WaR at the bottom. For the enemies, REI was at the top, BAR in the middle, and PNX at the bottom.
The second day, we shifted our focus to hold 2 primary kojacs. While we did very well, the enemy camp was able to keep more control, and we lost the second competition also. We will use this as a learning trial of the new event. Battles for towers will be very different in the coming weeks.
After the kojac battles, our focus turned to the new open zone on the map. We began splitting the new area between the alliances for buffs going forward. BRZ took the wonder in the new area. There is still plenty of time before the next wars start.
Over the coming week, we will be continuing to gain camp buffs and getting all of our members over 40k honor for the increased season fungi. Getting over 40k honor will be a top priority before the next wars start. We will be working closely with our allies on the plans going forward. We look forward to starting head to head battles with the enemy camp.

This week, my camp continued to take all the buildings in the new open zone. We distributed them fairly among the allies for first capture rewards. We then turned our focus to the second kojac event.
Unfortunately, the enemy camp was so far ahead from the first round that no matter how well we did, we would have lost the mini game. That didn’t stop us from trying. We lined up a little differently from the first time. VIK took the top kojac against PNX, BRZ was against BAR in the middle, and WaR was against REI at the bottom.
After hours of battling, the enemy camp won the mini game. Knowing that there was no way to win the kojac event, we used it more to gain champion points and kills. After the event, we continued to build towers to tunnels that we weren’t attached to, and took the remaining buildings for buffs.
At reset today, the campsites in the northern Area 51 zone will open. We will be securing more buffs in that area before the tunnels open in 2 days. It will be a race to take all the buildings and secure the wonder before the enemy. This zone will create the first head to head open battles in the event. We look forward to seeing what we can do as a camp in real war.

The campsites and tunnels opened in the new Area 51 zone, and all the alliances started building into both the top and bottom. We split up different paths to start taking buildings and gaining buffs. It wasn’t long before the first real battles of the event started.
All three allies faced off with the enemy camp near the top center of the area 51 zone. After the first day of battle, we were able to hold our ground against the enemies. It wasn’t long before the battles moved from the top to the bottom of the zone. Our objective was to hold or remove the enemy towers from gaining ground in the area. Both camps did tower transfers to move alliances to both sides.
All 6 alliances attached to the wonder at different places. At 16UTC today, we decided to start rallying the wonder to secure it for our camp and try to remove the attached enemy towers. WaR was able to capture the wonder first.
The wonder will go back and forth between the camps before one camp is able to remove the attached towers. After WaR’s protection dropped, the the enemy camp started attacking it again and REI was able to capture it. The constant trade off seems that it will continue until reset.
Over the next week, my camp will try to keep taking the wonder and remove the enemy towers attached to it. We will also be battling to remove as many enemy towers from the immediate area as possible. Our days will be filled with swings and war, at least until one camp is able to remove the other’s attached towers. As for now, there is constant war at and around the wonder.

This week, the fighting continued around the wonder in the northern Area 51 zone. The battles swung back and forth in the area and the wonder changed a couple of times between the camps. Each time, during the wonder protection time, both camps moved to try and eliminate the other alliances in the towers below the wonder.
The breaking point came when BRZ was detached from the wonder while my camp was trying to take it back. VIK and WaR spent a lot of stamina trying to take the wonder back from BAR. Unfortunately, we were overpowered by three whales on the enemy squad that held 2 alliances from stealing it back. While we had the activity, the imbalance of power was the determining factor in this event.
Spending so much energy to try and break through just a few whales defending the wonder was the breaking point for my camp. When we realized we needed to stop with the wonder, both VIK and WaR were already too drained to continue defending our towers below and the enemy camp started making irreversible progress. With only a few fighters with stamina, our camp was pushed away from the Wonder.
Over the next few days, fighting became just for fun, kills, and for champion points. There is no way for us to break through the enemy camp and win the event. Now it’s just a waiting period to leave the season zone and get our rewards.
A look at the map as it currently sits
VIK has already changed our ranks for event rewards based on event activity. We have also started recruiting for our next event in an effort to improve our fighting capability and activity. We hope to become more competitive in the events going forward. With only a couple days left in the competition period, we will continue fighting for fun and gaining last minute fruits.

VIK is back on the regular server after losing our last event. The last week was uneventful having lost the final wonder. During the final week, all three alliances fought just for fun with no way to push through and take back the wonder. The enemy camp reclaimed most of the Area 51 territory.
If we were to do one thing differently, it would have been to not continue to go after the wonder with BRZ detached. This single mistake costed us the event. When they detached, we tried to finish taking it, burning through a lot of stamina that later made us unable to defend our towers. While we didn’t win the event, it was a pleasure working with BRZ and WaR this event. They are both great alliances.
VIK has been actively recruiting for our next event as soon as we hit the server. Our activity dropped significantly since last season, and we hope to improve that going forward. We will be taking in stronger, more active members for the adventure ahead.
Back on the server, we will be farming resources and healing speedups. With the limited time, we will make best use of our time to relax and prepare. We have not yet decided where we will go, but we will be ready when the time comes.
This is Blitzkrieg, signing off…
