SVH, Server 566, Blitzkrieg, SW285

SVH is now getting ready for our next event. Getting back onto the regular is always a break between events to recover and prepare for the next one. After our very close match up in our Barren Land event, we are hoping that our reduced power will still go in our favor.

Leadership has started an alliance vote for the event instead of it being decided by the R4 team. We wanted to include our members in the decision. So far, it looks like it is a landslide vote to go back to Surreal Wetland. We know that this event is very resource heavy, so we have told everyone to prepare.

We have started an alliance vote for the theme for next event. We have now opened a discord channel for suggestions that will be broken down to an alliance vote in the coming days. We will then choose an anthill skin to make the alliance look more uniform. All event channels and roles have been also been reset and gotten ready in the SVH discord.

SVH leadership adjusted ranks at the end of last event for rewards. We have reviewed all the statistics, and will be removing the members that didn’t meet our minimum activity requirements. We have recruited a few more members, but we wanted to stay in the 65 to 75 active member range. We think this will result in better matchmaking. I will be leading SVH again next event and have made some considerable changes and new guidelines to leadership to better the R4 team, myself, and the alliance.

Everyone has been hunting for resources and farming the tree for healing speedups. With the new autoheal feature, healing speedups and resources seem to go at a faster rate. We want to be fully prepared in the resource heavy Surreal Wetland event. We will continue to farm until we leave. We will be ready when that time comes.

This week on the server has been uneventful. Everyone is getting ready for the next event and relaxing between seasons. We have been continuing to work with the other alliance on our server to farm healing speedups at the tree. We have also been hitting our farms to keep our resource depots full before we go.

SVH has successfully signed up for the Surreal Wetland event. We have another 3 days before we find out our allies and enemies for the event. We are hoping for some strong, cooperative, and competitive allies this event. We are excited to give the new event another try.

SVH recruited a few new players and let go of some inactive members based on the statistics from last event. We will be entering the event with 69 members. We hope that the reduced members will help again with our matchmaking. We had a great match last event, and we believe going with less, active members, is more beneficial than going with a full 100 with some inactives.

As mentioned before, SVH has already set up our discord to accommodate our event allies. We are hoping to block the 8 to 16UTC timeframe once again, as this is out most inactive time. We will plan the starting locations with our allies once we know who they are. We will be ready to go when the time comes!

The matchmaking period has ended and SVH finally knows who our allies and enemies will be for the event. Our allies will be VIK and FAK. The enemies will be WIN, KTM, and XaM. We will be entering the new event at reset to start our competition period.

Thr first order of business was getting in contact with the allied alliances to discuss R6, protection time, and starting areas on the map. SVH has channels in our discord set up specifically for seasons, so we brought both groups in to address these as soon as possible.

We have decided that I will take the lead as R6. The R6 position can always be passed between the three R5s if needed later in the event. All the alliances have agreed to a protection time of 8 to 16UTC. This will be beneficial to our camp, as at least one of the enemy alliances is Russian, and this will be their most active time. SVH has taken the north zone, VIK has taken the middle, and FAK will take the south zone.

We will be leaving for the new event at reset. Everyone is gathering last minute resources before we leave for the long season. So far, all the allies seem to be getting along very well. We hope that this translates to great planning and execution this Surreal Wetland event.

We have finally entered our Surreal Wetland event. Everyone hit the ground running and built to our home zone Wonders to maximize our season soldier ant output. The first few days were all about building and taking the closest buildings before continuing to the tunnels to the middle zone.

As soon as the middle zone opened, all the alliances starting building towards their designated buildings for buffs. We have been switching between our home zones and the middle zones to get as many buffs as possible before the tunnels to the north and south open. SVH is currently draining the ferry to the level 2 area in the middle.

This is a look at the current map:

At reset tonight, the next tunnels open to both the north and south zones. As of now, all three allies have agreed going to the north zone together is our best option. We have split up the paths to enter after reset. We will also be building to the south tunnels just in case we need to enter there.

Over the next week, we will be building in the north zone while continuing to push for more buffs and the center zone in the middle area. We already have tower transfers planned for this zone to use later in the event. It will be another week of building towers and fighting the infected.

This week, the fight was fully in the north clash zone. All three allies built from the top of the zone to the bottom to push out the enemies. To start, WIN was the only enemy alliance in the zone and they had built through both tunnels to take buildings on both sides. Both VIK and FAK built down to the south tunnel while SVH built down to the north and wonder.

VIK and FAK were able to push WIN back in the first pvp battles of the season. During the protection time, XaM had built into the zone to help them. Both XaM and WIN were pushed out of the zone and sealed at the south tunnel.

SVH was able to drain and take the Wonder while the other two alliances were battling. We were also continuing to build down on the south side to the WIN buildings. After taking the wonder, SVH connected and fought with WIN. We were able to push them back to only 4 towers and a lair before reset. Overnight, KTM built into the zone and took the residence for teleportation while we were focused on WIN. SVH was able to eliminate WIN from the zone completely, and blocked the tunnel from re-entry. We then focused fully on KTM. We stole back the residence, eliminated all the remaining KTM towers, and sealed the tunnel.

Over the next few days, we will be building to more buffs and the tunnels in the middle zone and preparing for the next clashes to open.

This week in our Surreal Wetland event, all the alliances cleared the remaining enemy towers in the north zone and moved to back to the middle zone to grab more buffs before the tunnels to the next clashes opened.

During the course of the week, there were a few tower transfers around the map. My camp used ours to move all the alliances at both tunnels, snd the enemy camp did the same. SVH also transferred to FAK in the middle zone so they could take their remaining distributed buildings. We all started making our way to the center area for access to the tree tunnels.

As soon as the next clash areas opened, SVH, FAK, and VIK all built into our right clash zone. Both VIK and FAK entered first, then as R6, I immediately dropped the FAK tunnel and SVH followed. All three allies had predetermined paths through the clash to race to the enemies while taking buffs along the way.
At the bottom of our clash, XaM and KTM started building towers and took some of our buildings. VIK started down the left path, FAK took the middle path to take the wonder, and SVH took the right. WIN started alone in the enemy advantaged clash and focused only on collecting buffs.

Over the course of three days, VIK and FAK blocked and pushed out XaM, while FAK and SVH blocked and pushed out KTM. Our camp took back all of the stolen buffs and blocked both entry tunnels from the enemies.

Once the enemies were cleared from our zone, SVH moved back to the middle zone to continue our path to the ferry.

Over the course of the next week, we will be draining the ferries, buildings, and wonder; and build to the tunnels in preparation of the final tree zone to open. We will also be keeping an eye on the enemy camp for any attempts at entry to our clash zones.

This week, all the alliances finished draining the ferries, residence 9s, and the final wonder before making our way to the tree tunnels. While the week was uneventful other than this, there were minor battles at the tunnels in our middle zones.

SVH took the remaining buildings in our home zone and in the middle area before making our way to the final ferry. After draining the ferry to the lair 9, we began helping our allies drain the wonder. Once the wonder was drained, we continued to drain the lair 9, which was the final building before the tree tunnels.

FAK took the remaining buildings on the way to the final ferry. They also helped to drain the wonder before taking their lair 9 and building to the final tunnels. VIK drained and took the wonder and built.

The plan was to wait until the last minute to attach to the tunnels to see where the enemy alliances set up. The enemy alliances also did the same, with them attaching to all three tunnels so we wouldn’t know which alliance would be where. In the end, FAK took the top, SVH took the middle, and VIK took the bottom tunnel.

Throughout the week, the enemies provoked battles at the south tunnels of our middle right clash zone. While they weren’t able to make any progress, it was just to fight and gain champion points for their camp. All the alliances dropped more towers at all tunnels to prevent entry from the other team.

At reset, the tree tunnels will open and my camp will have the first opportunity to build into the tree zone. Our plan is to keep all three alliances together. With our camp at a disadvantage of no way to suprise, if we split up, the enemy would be able to isolate the alliances from one another. We are currently getting our paths ready. The final week of the event will be intense and battle-filled. We hope that sticking together will give us the best chance at winning the event.

This week, the tunnels to the final tree zone opened and it was off to the races at reset. The plan was for all three allies to build and stay together in the zone. Our best chance at survival was to not be seperated. With the protection time taking away the element of surprise, we decided to build and stay connected at the tree. If one of us had built away, the enemies would have build during our protection to seperate and isolate us.

The downfall of building together at the tree was the amount of space each alliance had. In order to make is as far as possible in the shortest amount of time, we had to maximize the distance made up in our tower building. We also had a 1 hour disadvantage given by the game maintenance that the enemy camp didn’t have.

At 16UTC, the wars started for all the alliances. VIK was facing off with KTM, SVHwas facing XaM, and FAK was facing WIN. During the first day of battles, my camp started well in the beginning, but ended up losing some ground being outnumbered with enemy activity. So, we reinforced and prepared for the next day.

The next day, we started strong and held our ground early, but once again, enemy activity proved too much and we started being pushed back. We began a new strategy to double team XaM and ignore KTM for a bit. While this showed promise early, it didn’t slow down the enemies.

On the third day, our opponents changed a little. SVH faced WIN, FAK faced XaM, and VIK faced KTM. Once again, we started to be pushed back towards the tree. At reset, we began dropping towers to secure the area we had near the tree. While we are still attached, our space to fight has become very small and the enemy closing in on both sides.

The war continues with all the alliances eliminated except SVH with one tower remaining attached to the tree. With only one day left before the Tree bonus drops, we will not be able to hold on. We will review the zone and see if there is a chance to break through somewhere.

The final week of the event didn’t have much action. The last tower connected to the tree was demolished by the enemy alliances, and the other camp took the tree as soon as the bonus dropped. My camp decided there was no way for us to push through and win the event, so we started saving our resources and healing speedups for our next events. There was minimal fighting across the map, as we had given up in the event. The only battles were for fun. Even though we lost this Surreal Wetland event, working with both VIK and FAK was more than what we could have hoped for. Both alliances have great leadership teams and were very easy to get along with. Our planning went very smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for better allies.

There was one very positive thing that came from our event. To solve activity problems, SVH and VIK have agreed on a merger. This merger would bring together all of our most active members to create a highly active alliance for the next event. SVH will be moving to server 753 and joining into the VIK alliance shell.

Server 753 is a very active server compared to server 566. We have agreed that SVH will bring 40 members to the new roster, and leadership is currently going through a lot of data to select our 40 members. While this is a hard choice for our alliances, it will be beneficial for both SVH and VIK.

Server 753 runs a little differently than our current server. They have one purge day and rotate the tree with several alliances. On server 566, there were only 2 main alliances that rotated the tree, and we had no purge days. The leadership team for the next event will be selected once we have convocated to the new server and the two alliances become one new family.

Our leaders have been working hard to make this merger possible. We have decided to change the name of the alliance, but we will be keeping the VIK alliance tag. Both alliances have a similar viking theme, so the transition will be easy for our members. We look forward to becoming one alliance and working together as one team.

The current VIK alliance has agreed to transition to the SVH discord server. I have already started programming the new channels and roles needed for this transition. Over the coming weeks, I will completely overhaul the SVH server for the new alliance.

While a merger is never an easy task, we have done a great job ironing out the details in a very short period of time. We feel confident that our alliances will come together and form a new family with new bonds for many seasons to come. Everyone is excited to get to know one another better and create a highly active, competitive alliance that will dominate in our events. While there is still a lot of work to be done, anticipation for our future success couldn’t be higher.
