SVH, Blitzkrieg, Server 566, Barren Land, SL 1423

SVH is back on the regular server and have been making the most of our time. We have been farming for resources and healing speedups for the next event. We have also begun the process of selecting our next alliance theme.

We have added two new leaders to the leadership team and have kicked our most inactive members to bring our total members to 83 (Two membera were still out of the alliance at time of screenshot below). These adjustments should help in both the matchmaking and the upcoming event. The leadership team has chosen to take a break from the infected and go back to Barren Land for the next adventure. We are hoping for good allies and protection time.

One of the biggest tasks since being back on the server has been bringing in over 100 members from another server to fill and restart the SVA alliance on our server. Once all the members were across, we incorporated them into the SVH Discord server. The server now holds two full alliances, separated by permissions.

SVA has now changed their name to EOV (Empire of Valhalla). Keeping the same theme, they are now the true sister alliance to SVH. So far, both alliances are getting along very well and we look forward to working with them to build back server 566. They now have their own leadership and will continue going to events.

Both alliances will continue to help each other farm for healing speedups for our next events. We will be working closely with EOV to make sure they are comfortable on their new server. While the work is far from over, the hardest tasks have been completed.

This week SVH has been continuing to prepare for our next event, which as of last week, has been selected to be Barren Land. With the past two events being in Surreal Wetland, many of us needed a break from the infected alliance. We felt that going back to a familiar event against strictly player opponents would help give us the break we needed.

We have now entered the matchmaking period of the event. We are hoping for good allies as we’ve had in the past in Barren Land. Permissions and channels have already been set up in the SVH discord. SVH is hoping for a protection time of 8 to 16UTC, as this is our most inactive time. We have had luck getting this time period blocked in our last few events. While we still need to talk to our allies, SVH is usually most comfortable fighting in the north.

SVH will enter the event with 83 members. The cut back on members this event was a leadership decision to hopefully help with our matchmaking. We would rather enter an event with less players that are active, than a full roster with many inactive members. The reduction in power will also help our cause.

We have two days left to find out our allies and enemies. With the remaining time on the regular server, we will continue to farm resources and speedups for the event. While we still don’t know who will enter the event with us, SVH is feeling good about the reduction in our numbers. We will be prepared when the time comes to fight!

Our matchmaking period has finally ended, and we now know who our allies and enemies will be for the upcoming Barren Land event. To our surprise, we were paired with two allies that SVH has teamed with already in past events. Our allies will be Inv and BSU. The enemy alliances are SLS, PLZ, and Gua. We are not familiar with any of the enemy alliances.

The first order of business was to get in communication with our allies to pick our starting zones, protection time, and R6 for the event. Although we prefer to use Discord, we know from a past event that Inv uses Telegram for the translations. I have invited BSU members to the SVH discord and we also opened a Telegram chat for all three alliances.

SVH chose the north zone for our starting area, as we like to fight in the north. BSU chose the center area to assist in both directions when needed. Inv took the south zone. We have decided to make BSU the R6 for the event, as a recent medical condition will prevent me from having instant access to the game for this role. All three alliances have agreed that blocking the 8 to 16UTC timeframe is our best option.

The competition period will begin at reset today. We will use this remaining time to gather last minute resources for the event. Everyone is excited to see what we can do this Barren Land with allies that we already know. We will be ready to fight!

We have finally entered our Barren Land event. The first week was all about building in our home zones to gain buffs for the fighting ahead of us. All the alliances raced to build towers to the residences in our own zones. We prioritized getting to the wonders as fast as possible to jumpstart our T11 season ant production. The enemy alliances have done the same.

All of our alliance members have been taking nodes trying to get to the 40k honor mark in order to take advantage of the increased season revival fungi. Having more fungi will definitely help later to keep us in the fights for longer. We will continue to prioritize getting our nodes to the highest levels in order to gain more fungi, as well as honor.

Over the next week, the tunnels to the north and south clash zones will open. Our plan is to have Inv and BSU will start into the south zone, while SVH builds in the north. BSU will also build to a tunnel in the north as a decoy to the enemy alliances. This will also allow them to help in case SVH falls into trouble against multiple alliances.

This is a current look at the map:

My camp will have the advantage of building after reset when the enemies have their protection time. We will use this to our advantage and enter both zones after reset when the enemies are locked out. We hope that this will allow us to gain a better footing in both zones when the enemies are not able to build.

Over the course of the next week, we will watch the enemy movements closely and adjust our strategy accordingly. There is still a lot of time left to go in the event, and we should be getting a taste of our first battles soon. We are looking forward to what we can do as a camp.

This week the tunnels opened to the north and south clash zones. As soon as they opened, all three allies rushed to enter the new zones, building to the wonders. We had the advantage of building during the enemy’s protection time and get a head start of them.

SVH entered the north zone alone, while Inv and BSU built into the south zone. The goal was the reach the wonders and block the enemy alliances from reaching. Once our protection started, it was the enemies turn to start building. Both SLS and Gua built into the north clash, and PLZ built alone into the south.

On the second day of building, the battles began to break out all over the map. SVH fought SLS near the north wonder, and BSU fought against PLZ in the southern clash. The first day went well for my camp. The following day, Gua built to attach to SVH in the north for a 2 vs 1 battle with SLS. We decided to ignore SLS and focus on Gua since our path above the wonder was blocked during our protection time. Inv started to build to assist BSU in the war against PLZ.

There was some progress made in the southern clash, as Inv and BSU were able to push back PLZ and take back some of their residences. Unfortunately, in the disadvantaged north clash, SVH was pushed back by both the alliances.

Here is a look at the current map

The last couple of days, all the alliances started into the new middle clash zones to start gaining buffs. We have split the buildings to accommodate where the alliances are closest. The goal is to get as many buffs as fast as we can to better our push against the enemy alliances. Once we have enough buffs to feel comfortable, we will start the wars again and see where we can make up more ground.

This week was full of war. It started with defending towers in both the north and south zones as the enemy pushed in both. My camp worked to hold back the enemy as they made a major push in the south. Buffs were also taken in new middle clashes to help with the battles.

SVH defended towers in the north. An attempt to slow down Gua. Unfortunately, being alone and with lack of activity in a disadvantaged zone, they were able to push us back and take back the residences we had previously taken. We decided to shift our focus to defending the south.

In the southern zone, PLZ was the only alliance that was fully into the zone. But, with a tower transfer to Gua and SLS building to the south tunnels, SVH raced to build across the south in an effort to make it to our allies in time. Both BSU and Inv did very well keeping the enemy at bay. With all three alliances in the east part of the zone, the threat subsided

This past reset, the new nothern clash opened and it was off to the races to build. SVH and Inv went through the south tunnel and took different paths around the wonder while BSU came through the north tunnel to build down. While we were in protection, the enemy camp built together to focus into 2 vs 1 situations.

War is starting to break out as of 16UTC all over the new zone. With BSU and Inv disadvantaged against multiple enemies at once, SVH is currently building from the wonder to help as fast as we can. While the situation looks bad at the moment, we know that things can turn around in an instant. We will continue fighting until reset.

This week was all about war all over the new northern clash zone. The main focus was setting up camp and protecting the wonder held by SVH. The battles started in the northern part of the map, then eventually down south towards the wonder. BSU was nearly eliminated from the northern part of the map against enemies that focused primarily on them.

My camp was able to build a camp around the wonder with all three allies holding the north side. The first day of the battles near the wodner, the enemy alliances made a large push, but were mostly held back with strong resistance. The second day, they were able to make more progress, but were still held back.

From the second into the third day near the wonder, the enemy alliances tried a new strategy and pushed from both sides at the same time. SVH was caught in the middle. BSU held onto a small area on the north side of the wonder and built behind the river to make more room. Inv was double teamed by SLS and Gua on the north side. SVH was double teamed by SLS on the south side, and PLZ on the north side.

Luckily, both BSU and Inv were able to build from behind the wonder to the south side of the map in time to catch SLS. SVH was then able to focus fully on PLZ to hold them back on the north side, while Inv cleaned up SLS towers on the south side. BSU supported where needed, and my camp was able to hold the enemy camp back.

On the final day before the Tree Zone opens, today, we launched an all out offensive on the enemies. BSU started in the south to distract and try and steal an SLS residence. At the same time, Inv cleared SLS south of the wonder before jumping back to the north side to help SVH with PLZ.

As we sit now, with the war still going on, PLZ is starting to be pushed away from the north side of the wonder by all three alliances. Gua and SLS are double teaming Inv in a last minute effort to gain some ground before their activity dies off. We will all continue to fight until reset when the tree zone tunnels open.

All the alliances in my camp will have full clay to prepare building in the tree zone after reset. BSU will cross the ferry first. The R6 was passed to me to be able to drop the ferry for SVH when available. Together, we will build across to block the enemy tunnels before their protection ends. Inv will start to build north to the wonder. We have already started saving our fungi for the next zone by using T10s. We will be ready when the tunnels open at reset!

This week, the tunnels opened to the tree zone. At the reset, our camp took the tunnels with the plan for SVH and BSU to build across and block the enemy tunnels. Inv built up to secure the wonder and head off SLS in the process. We were able to block and take the southern tunnels by our protection time.

In a turn of events, the enemy camp completely gave up on the southern tunnels, and PLZ and Gua instead used clay all their clay to build to the northern tunnels instead and come from the top of the map. It was then a race to build up to cut them off.

With my camp eventually securing the bottom of the wonder, and the enemy camp securing the top, it became a constant battle at both the east and west of the wonder. BSU and Inv were on the west side and SVH was on the east side. Neither camp was able to make much progress.

SVH tried a couple strategies to break across two of the SLS ferries unsuccessfully. There were too many towers on the other side, and the enemy camp was built over one another. Inv and BSU were able to hold ground, but no progress was made there either. Every time my camp made a little progress, the enemy camp dropped more towers to get through.

Inv was able to take the tree on the first day it unlocked, but the constant battle in the towers didn’t have any progress for either camp to secure the opposite side. The enemy camp is now waiting for the last hour of the event to steal the tree. With Inv the only alliance that can reinforce, the only option is for SVH and BSU to burn the rally leaders in hopes of holding them.

The final days of our event came down to fighting everywhere around the tree to try and have a breakthrough somewhere. Neither side was able to make any significant progress, as all the alliances were pretty well matched.

The last battles mainly consisted of fighting on the west side of the wonder, as no progress could be made on the east side ferries with the amount of towers the enemy camp had placed. All six alliances faced off in what seemed like nonstop battles from protection to protection.

On the final day of the event, we had no other option except to make more room south of the wonder for Inv to reinforce while both SVH and BSU tried to fly the rally leaders going for the tree. In an intense final battle, it came down to the final 10 minutes of the season to determine a winner.

With only 10 minutes left, Gua was able to take the final hit on the tree, securing the win for the enemy camp. While we may have lost this event, it was a great match up! All the alliances were very respectful in the season chat to end the event. The matchmaking couldn’t have been better, as all the alliances seemed even in terms of power. It will go down as a very memorable event for everyone.

On the final day of the event, SVH leadership made ranking adjustments for rewards. Leadership went through a lot of data to give rewards to our members based on participation, as we do at the end of every event. While our activity started slow at the beginning of the season, things really picked up when we needed it the most. It was a great event, and we look forward to working with Inv and BSU again in the future.

When we got back on the regular server, everyone was happy to finally get resources back and open our season rewards. We immediately started farming healing speedups at the tree for our next adventure to come. Leadership has now opened a vote for the entire alliance for where to go, as well as the alliance theme channel to choose our next event alliance theme. Next will come recruiting and preparation for the next event.

Until next event, this is Blitz signing off…
