SVH Barren Land, Blitzkrieg, Server 566, SL #1168

SVH won our last event and are back on the regular server! With the fairy’s message about there being a wait to sign up for the next events, SVH has decided to sign up immediately to not wait on the server for an extended period of time. Leadership has decided to sign up for Barren Land for our next adventure.

Upon arriving back on the server, there was no time for rest. SVH immediately started farming both resources and healing speedups for the very fast sign up to the next event. We began recruiting as soon as the cross server convocation opened. So far, we have recruited 20+ members from different alliances and our member count now sits at 97 for the event.

We are hoping for some good allies this Barren Land. We are also hoping for a protection time of 8-16UTC. Although with our new recruits, our alliance has a wide range of timezones with members from all over the world. I have also reset and prepared the SVH discord to accommodate our allies for the event. Communication and participation will be the key to winning.

SVH has adjusted our ranks based on participation for the last event and taken in more than 20 new members. Over the next week, we will continue to farm resources and healing speedups to better prepare for the accelerated sign up. We look forward to getting back to the sands of Barren Land!

It’s the second week of preparation for the next event. I will be taking the role of R5 for this event. In SVH, we have a shared R5 role that rotates between Achilles and myself. Since Achillies lead the last Vast Jungle event, it’s now my turn to lead for Barren Land. Now that the cross server convocation has closed, we have a better idea of our member count and strength for this Barren Land event.

SVH has done a lot of recruiting to prepare. We have taken in more than 20 new members, and our member count now sits at 98. As with most events in the past, we have voted for an alliance theme for profile pictures to make it more fun and inclusive for everyone. This event, we have voted for Gods, meaning Greek Gods, Roman Gods, etc. We now have a vote open for our anthill skins. By doing a shared alliance theme, it shows the unity of an alliance and is intimidating to enemies.

Everyone has been farming healing speedups and resources for the second week in anticipation for a rushed event. We have less time to prepare than usual, so everyone wants to bring as much with them as possible. We should have 2 more times to farm at the tree before leaving.

While this is a rushed event, everyone is excited to get back off the original server. With our new strength and boost in activity, we know that we will have a great chance. Now, we’re just waiting to see who our allies and enemies will be for the 38 day event. We will be prepared for anything.

The matchmaking period has ended, and SVH now knows our allies and enemies for this Barren Land event. Our allies will be Zlo and Inv. We know Zlo from a previous Barren Land event prior to our last Vast Jungle. They are a great group that don’t give up, and we look forward to working with them again. We haven’t met Inv before, but we also look forward to being allied with them. The enemy alliances will be JPN, QOL, and Twi.

I had already prepared the SVH discord to accommodate the other alliances for the event. Some of the Zlo members were already in our discord from the previous event with them. Right now, we are trying to figure out the best protection time to block for our camp. All of our enemies are from Asia, so we believe that they will be blocking the 16UTC to 0UTC time period. We would prefer to have a 16 hour fighting window to give our alliances the best chance of fighting.

The next steps will be to choose starting positions on the map, solidifying a protection time that suits all three alliances, and choosing an R6 for the event. There will be a lot of discussion going forward to figure out what will help all three alliances the most.

The biggest challenge this event will be the language barriers between our alliances. SVH has both English and Spanish speaking leadership, Inv has the same, and Zlo leaders speak Russian. It might be difficult to navigate three languages when planning, but we are confident that this won’t be a problem. I have set up a translator bot in the discord to help. Along with the main chat with all three alliances, I have opened separate rooms for SVH and Zlo, and SVH and Inv. Having separate rooms could help when we need to communicate to one alliance specifically so that the other doesn’t need to translate everything.

For our remaining time on the regular server, SVH will continue to farm resources and speedups for the battles ahead. We will have one more chance to farm healing speedups at the tree before leaving and we will take full advantage. We look forward to working with both of our paired allies this event and getting back onto the sands is of Barren Land!

Our first week in Barren Land has finally started. Everyone is excited to be back in an event! After a short stay on the regular server, SVH has begun building and taking buildings to get ready for the battles ahead.

Stone Camp has selected me to be the R6 for the event. Knowing that all three enemy alliances are Asian alliances, we assumed that they would block the 16UTC to 0UTC time period. In order to give all three allied alliances the best chance to fight, we chose the same time in order to give us a 16 hour fighting window. The initial plan is for SVH and Inv to fight after reset and wear down the enemy. While the majority of our two alliances are sleeping, we will have our European and Turkish members fight with Zlo.

On the map, SVH has chosen the northern Crystal Citadel zone and will be fighting directly against JPN in the northern Area 51 clash zone. Inv took the middle Glacial Erratic zone. Zlo took the southern Lustrious Ammonite zone. Inv and Zlo will fight against Twi and QOL in the south.

All of our alliances have begun to take the starting zone Wonders and buildings to get a jump start on T11 season ant production and gain buffs. SVH has decided to do buildings at four separate times to make sure everyone in the alliance gets a chance to do some no matter their timezone. We have seleced 00:45UTC, 4UTC, 9UTC, and 15UTC for taking buildings.

This is a look at the map as of now:

We have another 5 days before the tunnels open into the initial clash zones and the fighting begins. We will continue to build towers and take buildings in our starting zones before building to the first tunnels.

So far communication with the other alliances has been relatively slow. There was communication from Zlo, who was a former ally from a previous Barren Land event, but there was little to no communication from Inv. After a few days of waiting and bringing both Zlo and Inv members into the SVH Discord, Inv leadership sent an in-game message that they wanted to change to Telegram for our primary communication. So far, the only communication has been about the protection time for our camp. We hope that it will improve as we move further into the event.

Week two of our Barren Land event started slow, but ended up in nonstop war! All the alliances started the week by taking the remaining buildings in our home zones for buffs. As soon as the campsites opened, we moved to the other zones to start building to the tunnels. Both Zlo and Inv started their builds in the northern SVH zone to move to the top right tunnel. Zlo did a tower transfer to SVH near their southern tunnel while Inv built down into Zlo’s zone to enter the southern clash.

Communication between the alliances was much better this week with the tunnels to the open clashes opening. Stone Camp decided that it would be best if all three alliances built to secure the southern wonder first, before building into the north clash. As soon as the tunnel bonus ended, Zlo and Inv built into the zone. Zlo then dropped the tunnel for SVH to enter. Across the way, Twi and QOL took the southern tunnels while JPN went into the northern clash alone.

Zlo was the first ally to get a taste of battle against QOL with a fight at the ferry southwest of the wonder. After hours of fighting, they were able to stay across the ferry and hold QOL at bay. One minute before protection started, Zlo dropped one half of the ferry to allow SVH to cross once protection stopped at reset. The plan was for SVH to continue the fight while the majority of Zlo was in their night and early morning hours. Inv built further north in an effort to cross a leaf west of the wonder where Twi was waiting.

Once reset hit, SVH took the ferry and began destroying QOL towers. Meanwhile, Twi started to build down towards us, and building to the leaf that Inv was attempting to cross. QOL didn’t put up any fight because they were drained from fighting Zlo earlier in the day. Our focus then turned to Twi that was attempting to build to Zlo’s towers, knowing it was their inactive time. SVH connected and destroyed the Twi towers as their attention turned towards Inv further north.

Inv and Twi battled for hours with Twi holding them back at the leaf due to large march times. Eventually, SVH was able to make a significant break through and started to build to help bring Inv across the leaf. Together, SVH and Inv started pushing Twi back. Zlo continued thier build towards QOL towers once it became morning for their alliance. With all three alliances working together, we were able to secure the area around the wonder and push both Twi and QOL back.

After 16 hours of nonstop fighting, it was a relief to get into our protection time. With the damage that was caused to both Twi and QOL, JPN finally abandoned their build in the north and started to build into the southern clash to come help their allies. We expect them to reach the wonder area within a few hours of reset tonight where we will be waiting for them.

Here is a look of the map as it sits now

In our first full day of fighting, it has become apparent how difficult this event will be due to the protection time and 16 hour fighting window. So far, Stone Camp did an amazing job to push through the enemies and secure the southern wonder. We will continue to push back Twi and QOL. The first fight with JPN will be coming sometime after reset today. Once we have completely secured the southern zone, we will begin our journey north to the other wonder.

As the SVH motto goes…To the last ant!

Week 3 of our Barren Land event had some near daily battles in the south. All the alliances are anxiously awaiting the open of the next clash tunnels to the final zone before the Tree Zone. Stone Camp has been working hard to hold back and clear the enemies from the south zone.

There have been numerous battles in the south this week. Both SVH and Inv have been working to push back JPN and Twi from the wonder. Zlo has been working further south to chase QOL and take the buildings they tried running away with. After creating a safe distance from the wonder from Twi and JPN, SVH started on a path towards QOL to help Zlo remove their towers and residences from the south zone.

Over the course of the week, Zlo took the southern wonder and Inv took the middle clash wonder. SVH will get the wonder in the next clash that opens in a few days. As a camp, we have decided not to build towards the northern wonder held by JPN. We felt that with the next zone opening soon, it would be risky to fight in the north where the enemy camp has an advantage. So far, we have only build minimally in this zone.

Over the next few days, we will continue to remove QOL from the south. Both Inv and Zlo have started building towards Twi in the southern part of the north clash. The first northern battles started as of today. SVH will continue our push on QOL in the south before starting towards a couple buildings in the north zone that JPN is heading towards. We will have 1.5 days of building before we need to save clay to push into the next clash.

We will be ready…

This has been an eventful, war filled week in our Barren Land event. It started out with all three allies building into the northern “Area 51” zone. That’s clash has been dominated by JPN since the beginning of the event. After taking a couple buildings, it was decided not to pursue the area and to save fungi and clay for the next clash.

Once the tunnels opened to the new clash zone, all the alliances began building into the area. SVH took the bottom tunnel and immediately built to surround the wonder while JPN built straight across to confront us. Inv and Zlo built from the middle tunnel to hold back QOL building from the middle and Twi building from the top of the zone.

All the alliances started to clash at different points on the map. Inv and Zlo met up in the northern part of the map to hold Twi before Inv built down to the Wonder to help hold back JPN. QOL was stopped in the eastern part of the map. Twi has been the biggest threat this event, so SVH eventually built up to help push them back in a 3 vs 1 scenario.

Over the course of a few days, Stone Camp made significant progress in pushing back the enemy alliances. QOL was stopped and pushed back to the other side of their starting tunnel, and JPN was pushed for away from the Wonder. We then began focusing on pushing Twi back to the top of the map in an effort to take advantage while they were weakened.

Our plan was successful until this last reset. JPN started building a large wall of towers near their lower entrance to the zone and started a tower transfer to Twi. QOL then started a build in JPN’s zone to the same tunnel. Twi also started a tower transfer to QOL near their southern tunnel next to the tree zone. The enemy seems to be planning on making a push in the southern part of the nothern clash to create an entrance for JPN to move from the north. JPN has no other chance to make it into the Tree Zone, other than moving from the North tunnel.

While all three allies started our build to the JPN stronghold, we continued our push on Twi in the northern part of the clash zone. During the push, Twi was able to slip past and start building back south in different directions in an effort to waste our clay and effort to build and stop JPN and thier tower transfer. They are now a threat to the zone again and making their way down as a distraction. Although, SVH and Zlo have now broken down and surrounded the JPN stronghold with Inv on the way.

The plan after reset today is to have both SVH and Inv battle Twi to try and hold ground and our buildings while watching the JPN tunnel and the tower transfer. The main priority will now be to eliminate JPN from the southern part of this zone to prevent them an access point to the tree zone. We will also be trying to make sure Twi doesn’t make any significant progress against us while Zlo is in their early morning hours.

So far, this zone has been in our control, but we have to stay vigilant and prevent Twi from moving further south and from moving into the zone through the JPN tunnel. There is still a lot of fighting ahead before the tunnels to the tree zone open. The course of the event will be determined over the next few days.

The week started with Stone Camp defending the north clash zone. We were able to push all the enemy alliances far back from the wonder. Zlo was able to push JPN away from the northern tunnels to the tree zone. There were some hard battles, but my camp was victorious and won stage 2 of the event.

When the tunnels opened to the tree zone, all the alliances went to work. Inv went north to the Wonder while SVH and Zlo took the southern ferry across to confront the enemies. Zlo also started from the nothern part of the zone. The first battles began around 4:30UTC when SVH and JPN collided. Zlo collided with Twi further north and held them during the SVH inactive time. Inv began to build down to help us after taking the residence for teleportation. JPN took advantage of our inactive time overnight and was able to push SVH back towards the ferry. The battles before protection started were intense, but SVH was able to prevent JPN from crossing the leaf and making it to the Zlo towers. Inv and Zlo were able to hold Twi and QOL at bay.

After reset, we began our push back on the enemy. Inv was able to push back Twi and wear them out. SVH made significant progress against JPN, and we were able to steal the level 8 residence for teleportation on the enemy side of the map. Zlo was able to help on both fronts while pushing back QOL.

Before protection started, the enemy camp made a large push back. Stone Camp was able to hold them from making any significant gains. Once again after reset, my camp made our push. This time, we were able to knock the enemies back and made our way to the northern part of the map. With inv being held at the ferry by all three alliances, SVH pushed against JPN to cross the leaf and break through. Inv and Zlo were also fighting in the top part of the map against Twi.

Once my camp was able to reach the northern part of the map from the right side, we started cleaning up the enemies. After two days of fighting, we were able to clear most of the enemy towers north and east of the tree. All three enemy alliances made one final push to reclaim the level 8 residence in the southern part of the map. With SVH alone in that section, all three alliances began to push against us while Inv and Zlo built to help. JPN was able to take it right before protection started. After reset, Inv and SVH worked together to push Twi, JPN, and QOL back to the tunnels while Zlo continued their work in the northern part of the zone. JPN was the only alliance left with towers in the far south of the map. SVH is currently working to eliminate them as I write this.

With the tree zone all but secured, we have planned to take the tree at 15UTC. We will have a last hit lottery between SVH, Inv, and Zlo. We have already build our platforms and attached to the tree. While the event is not over, we have all but won this Barren Land event. Stone Camp worked very well together in planning and executing. While the protection time was not ideal for many of us, we did amazing! We will continue to monitor enemy movements around the map and protect our wonders and buildings.

The final week in Barren Land was uneventful. All three alliances did a lottery last hit for the tree at 15UTC after the bonus dropped. SVH was able to get the last hit and take the tree for our camp. It seems that once the tree was taken, and all the wonders secured, the enemy alliances gave up. That did not stop Stone Camp from having a little fun.

SVH, Inv, and Zlo began building into the northern zone in an effort to take the northern wonder from JPN before the event ended. Once JPN saw what we were doing, they tried to destroy the wonder before we could reach. Inv was able to make it before the wonder was destroyed and steal it.

With the wonder secured, SVH began to build towards other residences in both the north and south zones to steal them from the enemy and try and provoke a fight. We were able to steal a residence in the south from QOL, and pushed back to steal four residences in the north from JPN. Zlo built to the northern wonder to help hold it with Inv.

This was a difficult event with the protection time for all the alliances, but we worked very well together to pull out a win. The hardest part of the event was having a 16 hour fighting window with the Japanese main active time open while two of our alliances were inactive. The three of us worked together to keep the enemies drained and at bay the entire event. We are very privileged to have been matched with Zlo and Inv this event, and we hope to see them again in the future.

Tomorrow, we will be back on the regular server to start planning our next adventure. While we will still have a leadership vote, I think most want to give Vast Jungle another try next event. We will immediately begin farming speedups and resources to prepare. We have made rank adjustments for the settlement period for rewards.

SVH has already begun recruiting for the next event. There is a very high demand of players wanting to join our alliance as our reputation spreads. Next event, we will gain a ton of power and new members. We are looking forward to welcoming in some new players to our family.

This is Blitzkrieg signing off…
