Story
Scientific name: Leptomyrmex Burwelli
This is a rare ant species that has only been found in the southeastern region of Australia. They typically build their nests under rocks in rainforests, although there are a few that nest in decaying wood. They measure approximately 4-7mm in length, while the queen can grow up to 10mm or more. They have a single queen system, with one queen overseeing the entire colony. They are nocturnal and forage on the ground and vegetation at night.
