Hi everyone, I’ve run into a frustrating issue trying to upgrade my Queen from level 7 to level 8.
Requirement: 38,000 Sand. My Sand Depot’s current max capacity is 30,000, and I can’t upgrade it further because that requires Queen level 8 — a classic catch-22.
I tried two things to solve it:

Tapped “Get More” next to the sand requirement — this let me request/use alliance gift resources (sand sent by alliance members). Result: the gifted sand was used/consumed, but the sand amount on the requirement screen didn’t increase (still showing a red X), and the upgrade didn’t start.

Tried the “Replenish” button at the bottom (paid with diamonds). Same result: diamonds were deducted, the sand seemingly “vanished,” the requirement still shows a shortfall, and the Queen upgrade never started.
It seems like any sand I add — whether from alliance gifts or from a diamond purchase — first tries to go into my general Sand Depot, which is already full (30K cap), so the excess just overflows and is lost, without ever counting toward the upgrade requirement.
Questions for the community:
- Has anyone else hit this same wall (Queen lvl 7→8, storage cap lower than the requirement)?
- How did you get around it — is there a specific way to apply resources directly to the requirement instead of the general storage?
- Has anyone successfully gotten compensation from Customer Service for diamonds lost this way?
