Gladiator Mantis

Hello.
Soon there will be an opportunity to obtain a wild creature of choice: Gladiator Mantis, Rainbow Scarab, or Parachernes.

In the description of the wild Gladiator Mantis, the following effects are stated:

“When paired with any Soldier Ants, there is a 50% chance to trigger the Madness effect.”

“In battle, the skill damage of all our units is increased by 20%. When the back line deals damage with a skill, there is a chance to use that skill one additional time (this effect can trigger up to once per round).”

Could you please clarify whether the 50% activation chance applies only to the effect that allows the back line to use the skill again, while the +20% skill damage bonus is always active effect without any probability?

Thank you in advance for the clarification.

hello @GoldArmor

The Gladiator Mantis is still considered one of the strongest wild insects, even though three newer generations have been added since. As a supporter it can deal significant damage thanks to the Madness effect, which in practice often feels closer to a 25% effective chance.
Regarding your specific question: from what I have understood, the entire Madness skill itself has a 50% activation chance, and this applies to both parts of the description. In other words, the +20% skill damage bonus and the “back line skill repeat” effect are both tied to the same Madness trigger, rather than the bonus being permanently active.
