In preparation for the next event, VIK began looking for a potential merger. Our member numbers began to drop and we risked not making the next season. After talking to a few different alliances, we decided that moving to 691 DRA was the best fit.
A few days before the cross closed, we began the process of moving our members to the new server. We opened 2-3 different convocations to get everyone over to the new alliance. I also began the long process of changing our entire discord from VIK to DRA to accommodate the new alliance. During the season, we will be using both Discord and Telegram (better translations).
DRA is a highly active, strong alliance. We hope that this will mean that we will be very competitive in the next season. We have selected to go back to the Mutated Jungle Beta event as our next adventure. A lot of members in the new alliance are from Europe, so we will be trying to get the 16 to 0UTC timeframe as our protection period. We hope to be paired with friendly, reliable allies.
We are making the most of our time on the server to collect last minute speedups and resources for the event. We are also getting to know our new teammates. We have already selected our leadership team for the event and we are excited to see what we can do.
In a few days we will know our allies and enemies for the season. I have already set up the discord to accommodate them. We will also be setting up a Telegram chat for those that don’t speak English. Everyone is excited to see how our event will unfold.

We will enter the season zone in a little over 6 hours. This week, we planned with our allies about the protection time, selecting our starting areas, and selecting our camp leader. Everyone is excited to hit the new event. We were paired with SLS (405) and F0X (365) as our allies. Our enemies will be RPX (109), UNT (892), and DIC (434).
The first order of business was getting things settled for the event. My camp has selected SLS as the camp leader. We wanted to have someone with a lot of coverage time. This role can always be passed between the alliances if needed.
The second thing was to select our starting areas. There is not much difference between the areas, as the campsites allow us to move around the map as needed. DRA has selected the southwestern purple area as we did in our last event. My camp is still deciding on our protection time. DRA has a wide range of remembers with different time coverages. But, my camp is leaning towards a 0 to 8UTC protection time.
Once we hit the season server, we will all begin building in our home zones and taking as many buffs as we can during the first week. Mappers and planners will be working closely with our allies for when the first zones open in the shared map. We have decided to use telegram and in game messaging for planning this event.
With DRA newly merged, we hope to be highly competitive this event. This newly merged alliance seems to be highly active, and we hope this will translate to a lot of members fighting on a daily basis. Everyone gathered resources and farmed speedups in anticipation for another long event. We are excited to see what we can do.

This week my camp started to take nodes and to build towards buffs in the home zones to prepare for the later parts of the event. We tried to take advantage of the discounted towers across the map by starting into the other zones as soon as possible.
The first objectives were to secure the wonders to jumpstart our season ant production. After taking the wonders in our home zones, we started in the eastern open zone. DRA took the wonder in this area. We split this zone evenly between the three alliances.
After securing the eastern zone, we began building from the campsites in the southern zone to prepare for the kojac event. All the alliances spread out to capture all the buildings in this zone. SLS took the wonder in this area. After completing the buildings, we all began to build to the kojacs. The kojac battle will begin in 3 days.
Here is a look at the map as it stands now:
Over the next few days, we will be continuing to take buildings in our home zones to maximize our buffs for the first battle event of the season. We will be working closely with our allies to hopefully take home a win for the first portion of the event. We expect our activity to be plentiful for the first PVP battles of the season.

The week started out with all the alliances building to the remaining buffs in our home zones. We continued to take buildings and ferries to gain the buffs and fruits. Everyone attached to the kojacs to begin the first pvp battles of the season.
F0X took the top kojac against RPX. DRA lined up in the middle against UNT. SLS took the bottom kojac against DIC. The first day of the battle was very close. Both camps battles for the full duration of the match, and we ended within 5 minutes of each other.
The second day of the battle was intense. Both camps fought very well, but the enemy camp was able to pull further ahead by the end. While we may have lost the kojac battle, we were pleasantly surprised by our activity. We hope that the activity will continue through the next phases of the event.
The next kojac battle will start in 3 days. On the next kojac F0X is lined up on top against DIC. DRA will take the middle against UNT. SLS will be at the bottom against RPX. We hope that the change up will help in the long battles, but only time will tell.
After the next kojac battle, we will have 4 more days before the campsites open in the northern Area 51 zone. We will begin planning our routes and battles in that zone in the coming week. Everyone us excited for the first real PVP battles of the event.

This week we had the second kojac battle of the season. F0X lined up on top against DIC. DRA took the middle against UNT. SLS was at the bottom against RPX. There was less activity by both sides for this battle.
My camp was around 6 hours behind before the second kojac battle started. Our new strategy was to focus on the bottom two kojacs instead of all three. We did make up some ground on the first day, but the gap was too significant to overtake and bring us back for a win. We decided to just fight for fun, and to gain more champion points.
The campsites will open at reset today; however, with our protection time, we will not be able to start building until 8UTC. Once protection drops, all three alliances will build to take the nearest buffs before building straight at the enemy camp. We anticipate high activity and long battles in this next zone.
The ideal strategy will be to build directly into the enemy towers and push them back. All the alliances are ready for the first real PVP fights of the season. This final zone will make or break the event. We hope that working closely together in fighting and strategic tower placement, we can push the enemy camp back and secure the wonder.

This week started out with both camps building straight towards each other in the new Area 51 zone. It wasn’t long before the first real PVP fights of the season began. On the first day, my camp was able to make some progress by pushing back the enemies and stealing a lair before they took it back.
With all the fighting taking place in the northern part of the zone, DRA and DIC started building down towards the wonder to secure it. F0X and SLS continued to push back RPX and UNT in the north while DRA fought against DIC in the north near the wonder.
DRA was able to keep DIC from attaching, snd overnight, RPX began to build down to force a 2 vs 1 situation. DIC made a tower transfer to UNT to make it 3 vs 1. DRA was able to hold off both alliances from attaching to the wonder, and eliminated UNT a little after the transfer went through. All the alliances except DRA and DIC were building and fighting into the southern portion of Area 51.
With DRA fighting DIC in the north, our allies fought in the south to hold off the incoming enemies. Tower transfers were given to both DRA and DIC in the south while we were fighting in the north. Our allies were able to delete the DIC tower within an hour after the transfer, eliminating them from the southern portion of the zone.
With no way to attach and break through our camp in the southern zone, UNT began to build down in the northern part of the zone, followed by our allies. With all 6 alliances down near the wonder, my camp worked together and focused to eliminate UNT and RPX from the area. After hours of battle, we were able to remove both UNT and RPX from the left northern section.
Overnight, all three allies attacked the wonder. F0X captured the last hit and began to work on the attached DIC towers to the northern right side. DRA and SLS both built across to come down from the top to the northern right side. UNT built down near the wonder and started a tower transfer to RPX as their last chance to win the event.
With the event win within our grasp, my camp will continue to push the enemies from the northern right side of the wonder at 8UTC. We will have until just before reset to eliminate the final tower transfer, and the rest of the enemy towers. Our event could very well be determined by the battles tomorrow.

The final meaningful battles of the season are over with my camp erasing the enemies near the Area 51 wonder. All three allies worked together to break through the enemy towers and delete the tower transfer before RPX could enter the area. We then began removing the remaining UNT and DIC towers from the immediate wonder area.
Once we cleared the majority of the towers and deleted the transfer, it seemed that the enemy camp gave up trying for the wonder. We took a much needed day of rest after clearing the area. After resting, we decided to go after the enemy wonder held by DIC in the enemy zone.
DRA and SLS worked together to build into the area towards the wonder, taking buildings along the way. Once we got closer to their wonder, bother DIC and UNT started building out in an effort to defend. With the enemy morale down, not many enemies showed upto defend and it didn’t take long until DRA was able to secure their wonder. F0X built to take buildings in the area.
With the final days of the event upon us, we will be provoking fights for fun and to gain more kills. The only thing left to do is keep an eye on the enemies if they try a last minute push for either wonder. All in all, this has been a great event for our camp, and all the allies worked together very well to pull off this win!

Our last week in the event was uneventful. Fights were only for fun, and no real battles took place, other than for champion points and kills. We thank F0X and SLS for a great event! The planning and cooperation was on point, and our win was well deserved.
Looking back at the event, the only thing I wouldn’t have changed a thing. While we lost the kojac event, our true power and numbers showed up when it counted the most in the battles of the northern Area 51 zone. Together, we dominated the enemy camp to secure and hold the wonder.
Everyone was excited to get back to the server to claim our S5 rewards. I personally got a new guardian ant from the hatches.
Before leaving the event, DRA had adjusted our ranks for rewards. As soon as we hit the server, we cleared out the members with very low or no event participation to make room for new and returning members. We hope that the increase in power and activity will also help us in the events going forward. Convocation will open at reset today.
Over the coming weeks, we will continue to prepare for the next event. We will hold an alliance vote for the event and alliance theme. Members will continue farming for resources and healing speedups. All in all, our newly merged alliance has gotten along very well, and we hope to continue our journey together in the next event.
This is Blitzkrieg signing off…
