DRA, Blitzkrieg, Server 691, Mutated Jungle Beta, XJ. 337

DRA is preparing for another season together. After our outstanding win last event, everyone is excited to try our luck again. We are all enjoying our between event break on the regular server.

Over the last week, leadership took a vote on which event to go to next. We have decided to go back to the Mutated Jungle for the best chance at S5 ants. The game mechanics of Mutated Jungle is easier than most of the other events. We have already signed up, and we have 3 more days until our matchmaking period.

During the off-season, we began recruiting to replace members with low participation last event. We have added back some former members of VIK, as well as highly active players for the season. We now stand at 100/100 members.

We hope to have the success we had last event with the newly added power and active members. Our allies also played a huge part in our win. We hope to have the cooperation with the matched alliances this season as we did the last. We also hope that our protection time will be beneficial for our members as it was last season.

Over the next week, we will continue to prepare for the event ahead. We will be gathering resources and healing speedups for the long battles in the season. We have solidified our leadership team, as well as member rankings based on participation from the previous event. Everyone is excited to see what we can do.

It has been another boring week on the original server. We spent our time doing Alliance Expedition, farming healing speedups, and gathering resources for the event ahead. Everyone is using this time to take a break before getting into the long days of Mutated Jungle.

We have now entered the matchmaking period of our wait. We have 3 more days before we find our our allies and enemies for the next event. We have already set up our Discord to accommodate our allies, but we can also use Telegram depending on the languages.

We are hoping for cooperative and strong allies for the next event. Our protection time will be a big factor. DRA is hoping to keep the 8 to 16UTC window open for fighting, but we can always adjust, depending on our enemies. Last event went very well with a 16 hour fighting window. This was beneficial for our camp, and we hope to have another long fighting window.

We will spend our remaining time on the server solidifying our leadership team, getting speedups and resources, and making any last minute adjustments to ranks. We will also be choosing an alliance theme for the event. With only a few more days to go, everyone is ready to get back into war mode and try for another win!

The matchmaking period has ended, and we finally know our allies and enemies for the upcoming event. Our allies will be Exo (server 533) and ScS (server 995). Our enemies for the event will be Bad (server 422), LEM (server 821), and BLS (server 319). We have not been paired with any of these alliances before.

The first order of business was to get into contact with our allies. All the allies entered into a Telegram chat for the translations and began planning for the event. All the leaders began going over options for event leader, protection time, and starting positions on the map.

My camp decided to choose ScS as the leader alliance, but the position can be passed around as needed during the event. We have chosen to block the 8 to 16UTC timeframe. We believe the enemy camp will select the 0 to 8UTC timeframe, leaving us with an 8 hour fighting window. DRA has selected the south western zone to start as we did last event.

At reset today, we will enter the Mutated Jungle event. Our primary objective will be to build towards the wonder in our home zones to jumpstart our season ant production. DRA has experience in this zone, so we will use the same strategy as last season for taking buildings and buffs in our home zone.

While we have never been paired with any of our allies before, the communication and cooperation are very good so far. We hope that this continues throughout the event. We will enter the season at reset tonight. Everyone is excited to get back into season and see what we can do together.

We have now entered the season zone, and all the alliances raced to take buffs in their home zones. The first priority was to get to our wonders to jumpstart our season ant production. Once the wonders were taken, everyone started to build to the larger buffs to maximize our time. We only have an 8 hour fighting window this event; from 0 to 8UTC. The enemy didn’t do what we thought and chose to block the 8 to 16UTC timeframe.

We began to split our towers between our home zones, the eastern zone, and the south zone for buffs. We split the areas to maximize teleportation and fruits between the alliances. Exo took the wonder in the eastern zone. DRA took the wonder in the southern zone.

Over the coming days, we will all build to attach to the kojacs for the first phase of the event. The enemy alliances have already attached. We will try to pair our attachments to best suit the alliances against the enemies. We have 2 more days until the northern kojacs open in the southern zone. We are excited to see what we can do.

All the alliances will continue to take buildings in our home and open zones before the kojac battles. We will try to maximize our time and gain as many buffs as possible before they open in 2 days. We will also try to get as many members as we can over the 40k honor mark to maximize our season fungi output before the battles ahead.

This week in the event we had the first kojac fight. Exo paired against LEM in the top kojac, DRA was in the middle against Bad, and ScS was against BLS in the bottom kojac. While the fight was close in the beginning, it quickly got out of hand as the day grew later. The protection time was working against us, even with the auto join for many of our members. The second day did not get much better, as the gap started getting greater.

After the kojac fight, my camp turned our attention to the new zone that opened. We split the zone equally for the fruits, and we took as many buffs as quickly as we could. ScS took the wonder in this zone as both the other alliances had a wonder in the other two open zones already.

The next kojac fight will start in 2 days time. We have changed the lineup for the next battles. The top kojac will be ScS against BLS again, the middle will be DRA against LEM, and the bottom kojac will be Exo against Bad. We hope that the increased buffs and lineups will help the outcome of the battle.

In 7 more days, the northern Area 51 zone will open and the first real battles of the season will begin. This final zone will determine the winners of the event. Although we have lost the first kojac battle, we are optimistic that the second is winnable. We will focus on getting all members above 40k honor before the second round starts before turning our attention to the next zone.

In our last event, we had lost both kojac battles but ended up winning the event in the Area 51 zone. We know that things can change when comparing to an indirect battle in the kojacs. Everyone is getting excited for the real PVP tower fights im the weeks ahead. We will be working closely with the other alliances to give us the best chance at taking the final wonder.

This week we had our second kojac fight. Unfortunately, my camp was so far behind from the first kojac battle that it was impossible to catch up to the enemy camp. Less camp members showed up to the fight, and the ones that did only came for the kills.

Although we lost the kojac battles, we know that this does not reflect the real pvp fighting of the towers. Last event DRA’s camp lost the kojac battle, but we won the event when it came to the real head to head wars. It’s all about numbers and planning.

At reset the campsites in the northern Area 51 zone will open. My camp has been planning paths and weighing our options for the wars ahead. We have mapped out the area and hopefully everything will go to plan, but these events are always unpredictable when it comes to enemy pathing. We will have to wait and see.

All the alliances are already making our ways to the tunnels in the bottom area of Area 51. While we will try to secure the top portion of the zone, the bottom is equally important. We will have another 2 days to make our plans for that area. For now, our focus will be building from the campsites in the north part of the zone.

At this point in the event, there are still 54 camp members that have not reached the 40k honor mark. I’m assuming most of them have either went inactive or they are farm accounts in the alliances. 378 members are above this mark and ready for battle. While our protection time this event will hinder us a little, we hope to have some solid activity when it counts the most.

The campsites in northern Area 51 opened and all the alliances raced into the zone. The idea was to build across to the enemy as quickly as possible to stop their path while taking buffs along the way. Exo and ScS built straight across to meet BLS and LEM while DRA built slightly north towards the residence to meet Bad.

The biggest downfall of our event is the protection time. While DRA was consistently able to bring 20+ players online for battles after reset, Exo and ScS have only been able to produce 1 to 4. While DRA was able to hold ground near the residence, both of our allies were pushed back with enemy activity.

On the second day, less players showed up to the fights. While DRA put up another good fight and steal back the building, all three allies were eventually pushed back. On the third day, DRA decided to focus more on grabbing the remaining buildings near us rather than fight Bad again at the nothern residence. This would also allow us to build back some fungi for another large battle.

We all began building into the bottom of the zone in an effort to race to the Wonder from there. DRA built next to Exo on the right, while ScS started building on the left. One the right side, we were quickly headed off by LEM who built over to block our path. While this should have been an easy 2 vs 1 situation, Exo was only able to produce 2 fighters to fight alongside DRA. This quickly discouraged our members, and many left and stopped showing up to the battles. Once Bad build over, it became a 2 vs 1 against DRA and both allies were pushed back.

We decided to try one last effort with ScS on the left side of the zone. The plan was for both alliances to double team and isolated BLS. Once again, we were struck by activity problems with our ally early on, and discouraged DRA members failed to show up in numbers for the battle. We were once again pushed back from our goal.

It seems that this event has been lost already. Between the lack of activity between our allies and discouraged DRA members, there is no way to get to the Wonder. I’m not blaming our allies for the outcome of the event, and we understand that everyone needs to sleep. The real culprit for this event has been our protection time. We will continue to fight, but only for fun and kills. At this point, everyone is ready to get back to the server and start planning for season.

This week was very uneventful in our season match. After being pushed back in the northern Area 51 zone, my camp has given up trying to push for the win. There have been some fighting and resistance, but it was only for fun with no way to push back to the Wonder without the help of our allies.

We had some high hopes for the match-up this event, but ultimately the protection time won it for the enemy camp. While DRA was able to pull some numbers early on during the 0 to 8UTC timeframe, those numbers steadily dropped off without our allies help. Looking back at the event, we didn’t do anything wrong as far as planning. It was merely the lack of participation from our allies because of them mainly being UK based.

For the rest of the event we will just be doing our dailies and fighting only for kills. With no real way to win the event, we have stopped trying. We are looking forward to the next event, and we are hoping for S6 ants and a new season zone. We will continue dropping towers and taking ferries and tunnels so that our members can complete any remaining challenges.

Over the remaining time in the season, we will be adjusting our ranks for rewards. We have already recorded the season stats for this, as we don’t want people farming kills and stats after our camp has already given up. DRA is already looking to the future and hoping our next event won’t be like this one.

We have now finished our event and DRA is back on the regular server. Unfortunately, there was no action the last week in our event. We lost due to our protection time. We are already looking forward to our next event.

Below is how the map ended:

Looking back at the event, there really isn’t much more we could have done to win. Our strategy was there, but participation was not. It’s hard to keep alliance motivation without allies fighting by your side. We hope the protection time will work in our favor next event.

Once we hit the server, everyone opened their rewards. I personally got a duplicate of Azure Crazy. I’m hoping to change my pro lineup for next event.

DRA has already started recruiting members for next event. With some members leaving and new members coming in, we are excited to see what the next event has in store. We are planning to try the new Mutated Barron Land for a change in scenery.

As always, DRA is hoping for good allies next event with a 16 hour fighting window. The longer fighting window seems to benefit many alliances with multiple timezones. The protection time is the most important factor for any alliance. We just had a bad luck of the draw this event.

While this event was discouraging for a lot of people, we have high hopes that next event will be different. We have strong members and a great leadership team. We can only control things that are in our power. We are looking forward to starting fresh next event with some new faces and new allies.
