This week, DRA signed up for the new Mutated Barren Land event. We have been actively recruiting new members for the next season. We have had some members leave and some old members come back. We should be entering the matchmaking with around 100 members.
We have been making the best of our time on the server by collecting resources and healing speedups for the battles ahead. Everyone is excited to get back into an event; hopefully, with a better protection time and 16 hour fighting window.
We are hoping for a 16 hour fighting window to give our camp the best chance covering multiple timezones. We feel that this will give us the best chance at winning. If we have to choose a time to block, we will be pushing for either 8 to 16UTC or 0 to 8UTC. 16 to 0UTC is our best fighting time.
Over the coming week, we will be entering the matchmaking period. We hope to have reliable and cooperative allies this event with a wide range of active times. We don’t have a preference for starting area, so any would work for this event. There are still many unkowns in the event mechanics.
DRA will continue to farm speedups and resources during the wait to enter the season zone, we will be adjusting our ranks, and selecting a season theme. Now, it’s just a waiting game to see who we will be paired with. We will be ready when the season map finally opens.

DRA is now in the matchmaking period for our Mutated Barren Beta event. In three days time we will know our allies and enemies for the season. Once we meet our allies, we will be able to start planning for the new event. There are many new features and changes that we will have to figure out.
While on the regular server, most of our members have been farming speedups and resources. While uneventful, we are making the most of the rest on the server. We have started collecting ideas for a season theme that will begin voting on before we leave. We believe having themed profile pictures and matching anthill skins is fun and a way to show alliance unity.
As mentioned in my last post, we are hoping for a full 16 hour fighting window. While we will have to plan our protection time with our allies, we hope to either block 0 to 8UTC or 8 to 16UTC windows. The extra fighting time will also help us make use of our diverse timezone spread for our 95 members going to the event.
There is still some time left before we leave. We will know our allies in the coming days and already have our discord ready to accommodate them. If we need translations, we can always use telegram again. We will be ready when the time comes.

Our matchmaking period has finally ended and we now know our allies and enemies for the upcoming event. Our allies will be HLA (server 324) and LGN (server 650. Our enemies for the event will be REI (server 478), AoL (server 695), and HTH (server 387).
The first order of business was to get in contact with our allies. We have all joined a Telegram chatroom to start planning for the event. Given all of our active times, we have decided that blocking the 0 to 8UTC timeframe would work best for our camp. We will not know what time our enemies will block, but we hope to have the 16 to 0UTC timeframe open for fighting. We also hope for a full 16 hour fighting window this event.
We decided to make LGN the camp leader, although this plays a small role in the event, because all the alliances will work together and can pass the R6 around as needed. DRA will take the middle zone, LGN took the north, and HLA took the south zone. We will be able to move around freely, so the starting zones don’t really make a big difference.
We will be entering the season map at reset today. We will begin planning and building as soon as we land on the map. We will be going to the home zone wonder as quickly as possible to jumpstart our season ant production. We will also be trying to get our members above 40k honor before the first battles to give us more season fungi.
While we don’t know what to expect from the new event, we have high hopes that this season will go better than our last. Our allies seem very cooperative and ready to fight. We will find out our fighting time at reset when the enemy selection of protection will be revealed. Either way, we will be ready!

This week we finally landed in the event. The enemy chose the exact same protection time, leaving a full 16 hour fighting window. This will benefit us by giving us more time to battle with our wide range of timezones.
All the alliances started by building to the buffs in our home zones. We took the wonders to jumpstart our season ant production, and continued to take as many buffs as possible as fast as we could. We also tried to take as high level nodes as possible to get our members above 40k honor before the battles start in the season.
Before the new zones opened, we have began planning the war declarations in for new zones. We began testing the new event features with our allies and splitting the buildings evenly. This is still a learning event for us, and we want to fully understand how everything works. We have started to take the declared buildings today.
We still have some time before the PVP portion of the event. To prepare for this, we will continue to take buffs for the camp, as well as getting our members to the 40k honor mark for better season fungi output. There is still time to make preparations for the wars ahead.

This week the new zones opened in our event. All the alliances began declaring war on buildings as fast as we could in the south zone. The enemy did the same in the northern Area 51 zone. There was not much resistance from the enemy when we started.
During the final residences in the southern zone, the enemy started giving some resistance. We were able to take all the buildings in this area before we turned our attention to the final few buildings in the north. Unfortunately, the enemy was also able to prevail and take everything in their zone. It seems there is a tie in these areas.
After completing the south and north zones, our attention turned to the new inner zones that opened yesterday. Once again, we began declaring war on the buildings as fast as possible. We haven’t had any enemy resistance so far in this zone, as they were also focusing on their own zone. We will see what happens over the next couple of days.
This event is very different from other events, and it is still a learning event for most alliances. We will continue to take the remaining buildings over the next few days. We have run into some difficulty declaring war on some buildings. It seems there are some glitches in the event that the developers are still working out. We hope everything will be fixed going forward.

This week we finished the wars in the north and south zones. Both the enemy and our camp took all the buildings in our respective zones. It seems that this part of the event was a draw. While there was some resistance in both zones, we split evenly in the buildings in each zone.
Over this past week, the new zones opened in the center of the map. We had an initial strategy of waiting to take some of the buildings until the point system gave more points for the structures. This proved to be a bad strategy, as the points did not increase. The enemy was able to put up more resistance on our buildings since theirs were already fully captured. With the enemy claiming buildings in our zone, it seems that we lost this part of the event.
The top middle zone will unlock at reset today; however, with the protection time, building will wait until 8UTC to start into this zone. All the alliances have built to attach to the tunnels leading into this new area. We wikl try to capture as many buildings as possible once the tunnel bonus drops.
While we did well in the first part of the event, we did make some mistakes during the opening of the second areas of the map. We hope to recover and do well in the third area before turning our attention to the tree zone. An event win is still within reach. We will try to keep camp morale up over the next week. We can still recover with the cooperation of our our allies.

This week in our event the new middle northern zone opened. After losing the last zone, we had high hopes to be able to turn it around in this phase of the event. Unlike the last zones, this zone required building towers to take buildings.
As soon as the zone opened, all the alliances built as fast as they could into the new zone. The goal was to reach as far as we could while taking buildings and stick together for the wars started. Unfortunately, over the course of a few days, my camp was pushed back by the highly active enemy alliances.
Eventually, we were pushed back to the tunnels of the zone, with the exception of LGN that was able to break south and go for further buildings below the enemies. With coordinated attacks, we tried to push back into the zone away from the tunnels. The enemy was able to hold our advances and eventually caught up to the only ally that was able to break free.
At this point, we considered this zone to be a loss. We will now turn our attention to the final tree zone. This is the main focus for the event, and we hope that one big final push can propel us to victory. We have a chance to win the event, but we will need as many active members from all the allies as possible.
At 8UTC, we will begin building in the final zone. We hope to have the numbers to turn this event around and take the tree. While we have lost all of the beginning phases of the event, we know that this is the only phase that matters. We will gather our troops and make one final push to win this Mutated Barren event.

This week the final tree zone opened in our event. All the alliances planned to build into the zone as fast as possible to race towards the enemies while staying together to. try to secure the tree. Once the zone opened, it turned into a different story.
While both DRA and HLA built to try and secure the area near the tree, LGN decided to do their own thing and build toward buffs. Without letting us know, they had already given up on the event during the start of the tree battles. They decided for the camp that it was impossible to hold the tree for the remaining time.
While both the other alliances continued to fight and push, it was only a matter of time before we got overwhelmed by the three enemy alliances. Needless to say, this event is now over and all three alliances have been removed from the tree zone.
For the rest of the event, we have made fighting optional, and only for fun. We will continue to finish our event challenges while waiting for our return to the regular server. We will being our rank adjustments for rewards during the final days. DRA will now start looking forward to our next event.

Our event has ended and DRA is back on the regular server. Not much happened the final week, and our camp only fought for fun instead of competition. During the first day of the last zone, my camp had already given up trying to take the tree, and we were eliminated from the zone within a day.
During the last week, we adjusted our member ranks for rewards. We always try to give our members the rewards based on their event activity. After going through our spreadsheets of statistics, we adjusted members and went over who will stay and leave the alliance. We will began recruiting this week to increase our activity.
Everyone was excited to get back to the server and open our event rewards. I personally got a duplicate S6 guardian ant. I was fortunate enough to receive 3 new S6 ants during the event. After using the lucky clover we received, I was able to get another guardian ant to create a new pro lineup. I will switch from shooter main to guardian main next event.
Over the coming weeks, we will start farming for speeups at the tree weekly, as well as farm for resources to prepare for our next adventure. Leadership is still deciding which event to choose and how many members we will be recruiting. We will be ready when the time comes.
This is Blitzkrieg signing off…
